Mental Health Check Up
A Mental Health Check Up is like a physical, except for your mental health and overall wellbeing.
The 60 minute long session is offered 1x yearly for you to reserve time and space to have a targeted health conversation about: your GMC (general medical conditions) and their impact on your health, your stress levels and their impact on your functioning, coping strategies and resources for you to utilize or acquire. It is time to reflect on your overall wellbeing, review your strengths and resources, and continue to cultivate a plan of wellness as you move forward that is unique to you.
It is a time for you to share how you are feeling and functioning in your life and receive professional observation, feedback, recommendations and resource linkage.
Just as if you went to your PCP (primary care) provider and they checked your Blood Pressure, reviewed lifestyle habits with you that impact BP (both positively and negatively) and helped you craft a tailored wellness plan for your unique needs and goals, that is what a Mental Health Check Up does for you!
Your Wellness Visit May be covered by your insurance. It is your responsibility to know if your insurance plan covers your appointment however I work with clients to navigate that information and the process on how you may be able to be reimbursed via Superbill.
If you decide to follow up with further consultation or services, I will provide informed consent on what services and support may work best for you, how to schedule, fee for service and other important details. There is no obligation to follow up with me as a provider and you can receive recommendations for other service providers or supports that may suit your needs and desired results best.
- This is not a clinical diagnostic assessment and Diagnoses will not be given during this Wellness Based Consultation.
- This Service is not a counseling session.
- We cover targeted areas of conversation, evaluation and monitoring to offer an over view of insight, recommendation and suggestion for how to improve mental health and wellbeing, including recommendations for further evaluation if indicated.
