Facilitate strategic growth

We currently live in a culture where people will spend $100+ on haircuts and hairstyles but some  won't consider spending the time to cut out their own self-sabotaging behavior with an appointment or two to trim out their own deadweight.

People will spend hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars to modify their outward appearance in attempt to enhance or alter how they think & feel about themselves, when instead I'd like to invite individuals to invest some of that same time and money into their personal wellbeing work and watch the glow up from the transformation that happens when you invest in deep self care routines.

We blow money on substances that leave us with no sustainable soothing, when we can nurture the inner sustenance that can outlast most temporary indulgence.

I am excited to offer ways to help people see that carving out purposeful time and space to use their mental & emotional energy strategically can give them newfound insights and resources to truly help take care of their mind, body, and spirit.

I want to invite people to consider the ways in which they are trying to take care of themselves and see if there is room for new strategies, skills, and practices.

My wish is to inspire people to wake their hearts up, free their minds of self-imposed barriers, and to encourage those seeking "something" out there to keep seeking it, it is seeking you!

My pivot was an authentic result of hoping to reach so many others who just didn't see traditional counseling as the path toward their growth. The desire to not pathologize common suffering and the basic human experience in a way that makes self work approachable and even enticing,

An invitation to invest in yourself toward wellness, not cloaked in a battle against "un"wellness.
So here I am, with my formal clinical background in tow, to offer something a little bit different in ways of a growth path.

I look forward to sharing my knowledge, skills, and passions of self-actualization practices with others in the creative ways I have in mind :)

One Day

One day, you’ll be summoned to speak up.
I hope you speak up.

One day, you’ll be challenged to stand up.
I hope you choose to stand.

One day, a line will be drawn.
I hope you find the courage to draw your own line.

One day, who we say we are will be pit against who we actually are.

One day, if not many, Each of us will be tested.
In our own ways, against our own beliefs, amidst our values, among “our” own people only to discover who our people truly are , along the way of our own journey to discover what truly defines  our lives and narrates our character.

One day, is every day.

I hope you choose who you really are.

I hope I choose me too.

Authenticity

When someone leaves this mortal life, we rarely talk about the stuff they had or how important they were at work.

We talk about what kind of person they were.

We reminisce about how they lived their life.
How they treated others.

What they stood for, what they believed in,
And how they loved.

Ive always wanted to lead a life so authentic that those things were so clear and so evident.
So that one day the children I have will grow up thinking about the type of men and women they want to be, and know what kind of woman/mom/daughter/friend I was and decide for themselves if they want to be like me or not.

Every day, I try my hardest to be my best.
Not just for myself, but for my family, and the world we’ll one day leave behind.

I try my best but I do let my humanity show.
I am not ashamed.

The best feeling I have in this life right now is knowing that this is my crew- and they love me good bad ugly imperfect.
And that’s just what really matters to me.

Authentic connection.

Validation

People don’t “get over things” until it’s been acknowledged, validated, and sometimes even honored- by themselves and sometimes, by an important “other”.

However, when the important “other” is not available (deceased, not real, emotionally unavailable, unwilling) or unable to bear witness, people can feel &/or become quite stuck.
Symptoms and behaviors can appear and create dysfunction.

It’s then, that the real work becomes in the individual learning how to: understand the underlying dynamics, establish acknowledgment and validation within themselves, authentic enough to allow a new, hopeful, and resilient future narrative to emerge.

Have you ever felt stuck?
Did the simple act of validation help you?
